NBA free agency is here and the madness has begun. With that, point guard Lonzo Ball has struck a four-year, $85 million deal with the Chicago Bulls, according to Shams Charania.

Ball had been linked to the Bulls and the New York Knicks for a while now.

His decision to sign with the Bulls is not too surprising. After being drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft, Ball was then traded to the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the Anthony Davis blockbuster deal.

Now, he will have his third NBA team in just five seasons.

Last season for the Pelicans, Lonzo Ball played rather well, posting career-highs in points (14.6), field goal percentage (41.4), and three-point percentage (37.8). The Bulls hope to get an even better version of him this upcoming NBA season.

The issues with the Pelicans didn't have much to do with Lonzo Ball, to be honest, and now he has found a new home with the Bulls and will slot in as part of Billy Donovan's new lineup.

Big time money for Lonzo Ball. The young guard won't be 24 years old until October and still has a high ceiling, so perhaps the move to the Bulls can unlock his true potential that everybody saw when he was drafted out of UCLA.
