Metta World Peace will be forever remembered as a guy who helped the Los Angeles Lakers win the NBA title in 2010. He will also be forever remembered for his role in the unfortunate Malice at the Palace in 2004.

Not many, however, will remember World Peace as one of the up-and-coming stars of the Chicago Bulls. MWP was chosen by the Bulls, his favorite team growing up, as the 16th overall pick in the 1999 NBA Draft and made an immediate impact.

On Monday, World Peace fondly remembered his time with the Bulls, posting a video on Twitter with his framed no. 15 jersey in the background. He said he loved playing in the Windy City and playing against Bulls legend Michael Jordan, who was with the Washington Wizards at that time. But MWP also admitted he was saddened when he was traded by the Bulls after just three seasons.

“I wish I could've almost finished my career (with the Bulls), but you know what, that's the NBA, and sometimes you gotta get shipped and you gotta go. But I had a great time playing for the Bulls.”

True that.

World Peace was traded by the Bulls to the Indiana Pacers along with Ron Mercer, Brad Miller, and Kevin Ollie in exchange for Jalen Rose, Travis Best, and Norman Richardson.

MWP played 175 games for the Bulls, averaging 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. He first developed his strength as a defensive stalwart with the Bulls, even getting assigned to lock up Jordan.

Metta World Peace is a Bulls legend in his own right.
