“The Last Dance” will make its debut on April 19 and will air through May 17. The documentary features the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls and their journey to their second three-peat. Now, Michael Jordan has opened up about the upcoming documentary, noting that people will think he's a “horrible guy” once it airs.

Per Richard Deitsch of The Athletic, Jordan expressed his doubts that viewers will understand his behavior towards his teammates and the Bulls staff during that historic season.

“When people see this footage I’m not sure they’re going to be able to understand why I was so intense, why I did the things I did, why I acted the way I acted, and why I said the things I said,” the Bulls legend shared.

Jordan cited a particular player named Scotty Burrell, whom he pushed to the limit the entire season. For Jordan, this was necessary since come playoff time, they'll be up against the toughest opponents in the East.

“When you see the footage of it, you’re going to think that I’m a horrible guy. But you have to realize that the reason why I was treating him like that is because I needed him to be tough in the playoffs and we’re facing the Indiana’s and Miami’s and New York’s in the Eastern Conference,” Michael Jordan added

The Last Dance” may be the most anticipated sports documentary in recent history. Stories about Jordan's intensity and behavior are legion. Before, fans had to rely on MJ's Bulls teammates to get a clue as to how he is as a person. However, in the documentary, fans will finally get a closer look at the things that Jordan did to be known as the Greatest of All Time.
