The Chicago Bulls got off to an inauspicious start to the year amidst all the drama that had unfolded prior to the 2017-18 NBA season. Things got worse after it became evident early on that the Bulls were likely going to wade at the bottom of the Eastern Conference all year.

However, they have been on a hot-streak lately after having won their fourth game in a row with a clutch 103-100 victory over the Utah Jazz. Although their recent surge may have come as a surprise to pretty much the entire league, power forward Nikola Mirotic says he saw this coming as soon as he made his season debut, according to K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune:

“Some of you guys thought I was joking. But I was not joking. I was very, very serious. I told you we were going to be 4-0. We have to keep building from this. Some tough games are coming now. But with me back, we have more chances now.”

It is clear that Mirotic is not short of confidence despite having not dished out a single assist since his return per Jason Patt of FanRag Sports:

That said, Mirotic has never been known for his passing prowess. His only job is to score points by any means possible and it has been the difference-maker for Chicago so far on their winning streak.

The fourth-year man from Yugoslavia has been on fire and has now scored 72 points over the last three games. With the Bulls having their fair share of struggles all season with scoring, it is evident that Mirotic has quickly become their go-to guy.
