The Chicago Bulls are on the verge of getting a big boost to their frontcourt. Center Nikola Vucevic, who has been out since November 10th after testing positive for COVID-19, will travel with the team on their upcoming two-game road trip. Via KC Johnson:

As noted, Bulls head coach Billy Donovan won't say if Vooch will be able to play or not. But the fact that he's cleared health and safety protocols means the big man is trending towards a return.

Vucevic has struggled to score the ball this season, however, averaging just 13.6 points in 11 games played. But, the Montenegrin is contributing in other ways, grabbing 10.9 rebounds and dishing out 4.3 assists.

Although he is a starter, the Bulls haven't exactly missed him. They currently sit at the top of the Eastern Conference with an impressive 12-6 record and have gone 4-3 without him, including big wins over the Lakers and Clippers.

Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan are proving to be one of the best duos in the league, both averaging over 25 points per game, which is top-10 in the Association. If Vucevic can find his scoring touch and get back to averaging closer to 20 per night like we're used to seeing, it's going to be scary hours in Chicago.

Tony Bradley has been starting in Vooch's place, but he's offered limited production for the Bulls, failing to score over eight points in seven starts since Vucevic went on the shelf.
