The Chicago Bulls are going to finish with one of the worst records in the NBA this season, but small forward Otto Porter Jr. says the future is very bright in The Windy City.

Porter believes the Bulls are headed in the right direction, so much so that the swingman says free agents will come to Chicago once they see what the team is building.

“Of course,’’ forward Otto Porter Jr. said Wednesday when asked if he also was comfortable enough to play point man in the recruiting process, via Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. “Like I said, we’re going in the right direction, and once we continue to build and continue to grow here, I think when the league sees what we’re trying to do, people will want to join, for sure.

“This team is going in the right direction. We have a lot of young guys learning and growing together. The future is very bright. It’s actually kind of exciting, and I can’t wait to be a part of it and watch it grow.’’

The Bulls have a really nice young core of Zach LaVine, Lauri Markkanen, Porter and Wendell Carter Jr.

Add even one star player to that group, and the Bulls could be making noise sooner rather than later.
