In a move that seems to be a far cry from the tough-nosed personality he's displayed since taking charge of the Chicago Bulls, on Tuesday, head coach Jim Boylen has gave the team a much needed day off after a three-game road trip.

Reporting for the Chicago Tribune, K.C. Johnson made the announcement on his Twitter today, where he also noted that the team was also “off” while they were traveling from Mexico City to San Antonio.

Boylen's decision to give them a day off comes shortly after his first game as a coach, wherein point guard Kris Dunn and center Robin Lopez got into a much-talked-about scuffle with Oklahoma City Thunder players Russell Westbrook and Jerami Grant that resulted in technical fouls for all the players.

Boylen praised his team for “looking out” for one another.

“That’s all we’ve been talking about is fighting for each other. We talk about being a pack of wolves, man. I thought we had some of that. I liked the look in our guys’ eyes when that happened. It bonded them a little bit. Kris Dunn is a tough kid. He’s going to stand his ground. And he’s a very respectful kid. But everybody has a trigger point. I thought he felt he needed to do that.”

In other Bulls news, the team is next set to play against the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow, beginning at 8:00 PM EST at the United Center.
