The Chicago Bulls are going to finish with one of the worst records in the NBA this season, but that's not stopping veteran center Robin Lopez from looking at the positives of the season.

Lopez believes the Bulls are building good habits which will transfer to wins in the future once the core players on the team grow more.

“There’s something to be said for doing things a certain way,” Lopez said, via K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. “It’s really cool what we’re trying to build here right now. I think we have some great pieces on all levels — coaching level, player level. We’re coming together to do something really special.”

Robin Lopez becomes a free agent this summer. There's a strong chance he might not be back with the Bulls next season since Wendell Carter Jr. will be healthy. Carter Jr. is out for the rest of the season after undergoing thumb surgery.

Lopez is a great veteran to have on a young team. He leads by example and never takes any shortcuts. Even if this is his last year with the Bulls, the lessons the young players on Chicago learned from Lopez will last forever.

The Bulls are 17-45 on the season, good for 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The franchise core players are Zach LaVine, Otto Porter Jr., Lauri Markkanen and Carter Jr.
