Ryan Arcidiacono will sign a partially-guaranteed one-year deal with the Chicago Bulls according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports. The 24-year-old has only played 24 games in the NBA since graduating from Villanova University in 2016. During those games, he has modest averages of 2.0 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

Arcidiacono has spent much more time in the G League with the Austin Spurs in 2016-17 and the Windy City Bulls in 2017-18. In 84 G League games, the guard has averages of 9.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game. Arch is a versatile guard that can play on or off the ball.

It's unclear where he fits into the future plans for the Bulls. Chicago has a number of young guards already on the roster including Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Chandler Hutchinson, Cameron Payne, and Antonio Blakeney. Finding time in the rotation for Arcidiacono could prove to be a difficult task for Fred Hoiberg.

But regardless, Arcidiacono will have a chance to impress the coaching staff. His positive showing in the Las Vegas Summer League led to this opportunity. The 6-foot-3 point guard was a sharpshooter in Vegas, draining 10 of his 21 attempts from behind the arc.

This is in line with his G League numbers. He has a career three-point percentage of 43.7 in the lower league. In fact, last season for the Windy City Bulls, Arcidiacono shot 44.6 percent from deep on 4.5 attempts per game.

Three-point shooting is at a premium in the NBA and if Arcidiacono can prove he's a consistent threat from distance, perhaps he'll find a home in Chicago.
