Chicago Bulls point guard Tomas Satoransky wants the NBA to cancel the 2019-20 season altogether.

The 28-year-old, who is in his first season with the Bulls, wants to go home and be with his family in the Czech Republic:

“It is not pleasant at all to stay here and watch how the owners of the teams try to finish off the season in order to not lose so much money,” Tomas Satoransky said during an interview with a reporter from his home country, (h/t Mike McGraw of The Daily Herald). “It's not very pleasant also because we — me with my wife and daughter — would like to depart to the Czech Republic.

“The way I see it is that the season will get canceled, but it's not up to me.”

The NBA reportedly told teams that players could leave their cities to return home, but the league is forbidding overseas travel right now, which greatly impacts Satoransky.

Thus far, no one from the Bulls has shown symptoms of the coronavirus.

Before the NBA suspended play, Satoransky was averaging 9.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists for the Bulls in 65 games. He was shooting 43.0 percent from the field, 32.2 percent from beyond the arc and 87.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Bulls were in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 22-43.

Hopefully everyone in Satoransky's family is doing well and far away as possible from the coronavirus.
