Chicago Bulls rookie Wendell Carter Jr. recently talked with SLAM Online about his unique fashion sense.

“This is a sneak attack. They’re not going to see me coming,” said Carter Jr.

He wants to show off his swag all the time.

“Oh, yeah, for sure. I’m definitely coming with the heat every single time, from pre-game on. I’m trying to show off my swag at all times.”

Wendell Carter Jr. was drafted by the Bulls with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. The NBA, besides being entertaining on the court, is always about being entertaining off the court 24/7. Fashion has become a popular trend around the NBA the past couple of years and the this generation of rookies are following suit.

Oklahoma City Thunder superstar, Russell Westbrook has been known for his crazy outfits.

Back in 2005, then NBA commissioner David Stern implemented a dress code for the entire league and also for the NBA G League. This was a year after the league's most famous brawl, The Malice at The Palace.

The NBA was trying to reshape its image in the eyes of the entire world. It was not a very popular thing when it was first implemented. However, it seems like players have accepted this norm, and they continue to raise the bar.

Fans love seeing players express themselves through fashion. In today's day and age of social media, whatever a player is wearing, it can get people talking about it.

If there was an award for the best dressed NBA player, a number of them would get really into it. Wendell Carter Jr. has a bright future with the Bulls, and he'll surely put together plenty more interesting outfits in the years to come.
