Washington Wizards small forward Jabari Parker got his revenge against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, scoring 20 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field in the Wizards' 134-125 win against the Bulls in Chicago.

Parker's homecoming with the Bulls was a disaster from start to finish, which made his game on Saturday even more special. The former No. 2 overall pick had family and friends in attendance too and they got to see Parker put on a show.

“It was special for me just because I’ve been through a lot,” Parker told K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune. “I was looking to be a Bull for the long run.”

Jabari Parker signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Bulls last summer in free agency. After Jim Boylen took over for Fred Hoiberg in December, the Chicago native fell out of the playing rotation and went on the trade block.

The Bulls traded Parker and Bobby Portis to the Wizards, and both players got their revenge against Chicago on Saturday at the United Center. Throughout the entire Boylen era, Parker remained professional and never said anything bad to the media. It's something Parker's father, former NBA player Sonny Parker, told his son to do.

“We talked a lot about being professional, being a good teammate, watching your body language, cheering for your team,” Sonny told the Tribune. “It was hard for him. This was the first time in his life that he wasn’t playing. But he persevered through it. He had a great attitude. He never said anything negative or bad toward his teammates or his coach or his organization.”

In two games with the Wizards, Jabari Parker is averaging 13.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 7.5 assists. Washington is 2-0.
