Zach LaVine is quickly rising on the list of all-time greats for the Chicago Bulls. On Tuesday, the All-Star guard took another step in the right direction as he matched a two-decade-long scoring milestone that has been held by none other than the GOAT himself, Michael Jordan.

LaVine had another offensive explosion on Tuesday in a 123-120 blowout win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and it resulted in yet another historic achievement by the 26-year-old (h/t ESPN Stats & Info on Twitter):

To be mentioned in the same breath as the great Michael Jordan is an ultimate honor for any player. As it appears, LaVine wants to make a habit out of it.

LaVine finished Tuesday's victory with a game-high 40 points on a highly-efficient 15-of-20 shooting. This came with seven triples, four rebounds, two assists, a steal, and just one turnover in 31 minutes of play. Talk about a big night for Zach.

More importantly, the Bulls have carved out another win here, which follows a 118-95 demolition job of the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. That's now two straight wins for Chicago who are now just a half-game behind the New York Knicks for the eighth seed in the East.

This could be the Bulls' year as they look to make their first postseason run since 2017. Should they succeed in doing so, they will certainly have LaVine's outstanding play to thank. He's been an absolute beast for Chicago this season and we're pretty sure MJ himself would be proud.
