The new and improved Chicago Bulls are proving themselves to be legitimate contenders. They've beaten a lot of good teams and trounced on the bad teams, proving their worth as a top-tier team. After a huge road win, they have exorcised one of their biggest demons.

Zach LaVine's monstrous performance against the shorthanded Denver Nuggets powered a huge 114 – 108 road win for the Bulls. That win in Mile High City broke a 15-year streak of Bulls teams losing on the road against Denver. (via StatMuse)

LaVine's torrid performance has been a staple of Bulls wins this season, and this historic day is no exception. He scored 36 points on efficient shooting percentages to help the team break this terrible streak of losing on the road to Denver. He, along with Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan, has put the Bulls back on the map.

Amidst this insane turnaround from the team, many fans and players have declared that the Bulls are back. While it's a nice compliment to say, all the players know there's a lot of work that needs to be done before they're “back”. As guard Alex Caruso eloquently put it:

“Eleven games into the season, I don’t think you can say anybody’s back, especially for the prestige of the Bulls. They won three championships in a row twice. Being back, that’s a big statement.”

Still, when the Bulls are destroying decade-long losing streaks to opponents, it becomes harder and harder to not overreact on this Bulls squad. Hopefully, they continue their hot streak and take their talents all the way to the Finals in June.
