Zach LaVine and Coby White etched their names in the Chicago Bulls' record books on Tuesday in the team's narrow 124-122 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the United Center.

The high-scoring duo combined for 76 points and joined Bob Love and Chet Walker as the only Bulls teammates to score more than 30 points in back-to-back games, per K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago.

The feat was last achieved by Love and Walker way back in 1969. Even all-time greats Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were unable to achieve this during their historical pairing in the Windy City.

Zach LaVine notched a game-high 41 points on an impressive 19-for-35 shooting (55 percent) from the field. He did, however, misfired on 10 of his 13 attempts from distance. The 24-year-old high leaper also collected five boards, four assists and one steal in 39 minutes for the Bulls.

Coby White, meanwhile, once again came off the bench and torched OKC with 35 points, seven boards and three dimes in 33 minutes. He went bonkers from deep going 6-for-9 and shot 13-for-21 from the field overall.

Prior to Tuesday's hosting of the Thunder, LaVine and White fired 32 and 33 points, respectively, in their win over the Washington Wizards.

LaVine has developed into one of the best pure scorers in the league and has emerged as the Chicago's go-to guy. White, on the other hand, has been one of the best bench scorers in the league in just his first season as a pro. He also became the first rookie to notch at least five three-pointers in three consecutive games.

Despite the terrific showing of their backcourt, the Bulls are currently out of playoff contention in the East, nested at the 10th spot with a 20-29 win-loss slate.
