The Chicago Bulls are one of the worst teams in the NBA right now. But this fact will not stop Zach LaVine from staying committed to the team long term.

Per K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, LaVine admitted that losing is taking a toll on him given his innate desire to win. He knows that winning is all that matters in the game. Individual statistics don't matter:

“Losing sucks,” LaVine said. “It takes a toll on you. I’m extremely competitive. I want to be a winner. You can see it on my face. You can tell the people who really care. I know I do. Winning is what defines players. There are a lot of really good players in the NBA. None of that matters until you start winning games.”

The Bulls aren't exactly winning this season. As of this writing, they have a 12-41 record which puts them at 13th place in the Eastern Conference. The 23-year-old LaVine is averaging career numbers of 22.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steal across 33.8 minutes per game. As early as now, it seems that LaVine is already looking forward to the offseason to work on his game, and at the same time, turn things around for his team. He's confident that the Bulls have the ability to get better every year.

“Most teams aren’t actually in camp until that first day,” he said. “That’s why I think this can turn around (next season). I know I’m confident in my abilities and my teammates’ abilities to get better and grow every year. I think we’re going to do that.”

Time will only tell if LaVine's words will turn prophetic. Who knows, maybe next year, the Bulls can turn into a bottomfeeder into a legitimate playoff contender.
