Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen of the Chicago Bulls are an up-and-coming duo, and they want the whole league to know about them.

For LaVine, there's no pressure to prove themselves to others, noting that to reach the elite status is what they expect and ought to do. He looked back on his partnership with Markkanen last year and is optimistic that they can do some great things in the future. The only thing to do now is to play more games together to develop chemistry.

“It’s not a lot of pressure, because we expect ourselves to be and go to that level,” LaVine said, per Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. “We work extremely hard. As you saw last year with us on the court, and that even goes with us playing all 82, the more we’re on the court together, I think the better chance we give our team. Because we ask for that pressure. We want to be known as a great combo. We want to take our team to the playoffs. I don’t think it’s pressure. We expect it to be there.”

Markannen echoed LaVine's thoughts.

“I feel like we both play better under the pressure anyway,” the Finn forward said.

Last season, the Bulls tallied a 22-60 win-loss record — their second-consecutive season of winning less than 30 games. With that said, it's safe to say that they've been out of the radar for the last few years.

This 2019-20 season, however, they figure to put up a much better fight with LaVine and Markkanen healthy and ready to play. Their roster looks promising as well, and it might just be a matter of time before we see the resurrection of the legendary Bulls organization.
