Chicago Bulls star shooting guard Zach LaVine is excited about the team's new front office led by Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley, and he's already noticing a major difference from the last regime led by John Paxson and Gar Forman.

LaVine spoke about this at Tuesday's media availability at the start of training camp:

Both Paxson and Forman had been running the team for a long time before the big changes earlier this year. Paxson, who won three titles with the Bulls as a player, got the general manager job in 2003 and was promoted in 2009 when Forman became general manager after a long time in the organization.

The duo's time together started well during the Derrick Rose era, but things ultimately turned south, resulting in an attempt to rebuild in 2017 with the trade of Jimmy Butler. The Bulls haven't made much progress since that Butler trade, leading to an upset fan base and the change in leadership after an awful 22-43 2019-20 season. This failed campaign also resulted in the termination of head coach Jim Boylen, with Billy Donovan then getting hired to right the ship.

With a retooled front office headed by Karnisovas and Eversley along with a newly hired head coach in Donovan, the franchise is hoping to finally get back to relevance again. LaVine wants to be in the middle of it as the star player, though he understands that everything is on the table when it comes to a possible trade. For now, the shooting guard is trying to help this franchise take a step forward.

Despite the Bulls' struggles as a team, LaVine had a career season in 2019-20. The 25-year-old averaged 25.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists while shooting 45.0% from the field and 38.0% on 3-pointers. He participated in the 3-Point Contest in Chicago.
