The Chicago Bulls reportedly love LaMelo Ball and could trade the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 draft and Wendell Carter Jr. to get the youngest Ball brother, per ESPN's Jonathan Givony.

The Bulls like Lauri Markkanen a lot more than Carter Jr. and aren't interested in trading “The Finnisher.”

“I've heard the Bulls are fans of LaMelo,” Givony said on the Lowe Post with ESPN's Zach Lowe, via Real GM.

“They do have some really good pieces in place. I'm hearing that they like Lauri Markkanen a lot more right now than Wendell Carter Jr. That he's more of an untouchable.”

The Bulls have been looking for a lead point guard ever since they traded Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks in the summer of 2016.

While Chicago does have Zach LaVine and Coby White on the roster, LaVine is the Bulls' starting shooting guard and White comes off the bench and is more of a two-guard than a point guard.

LaMelo Ball, the younger brother of New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball, played 12 games in the NBL before suffering a foot injury in 2019-20. He averaged 17.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft. They are followed by the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Bulls.

The 2020 NBA draft is on November 18. It's going to be fascinating to see what the Bulls do and where Ball winds up. Chicago hasn't made the playoffs since the 2016-17 season, the final year of the Jimmy Butler era.
