The Chicago Bulls would reportedly still be interested in a potential Lonzo Ball trade with the Los Angeles Lakers if they land in the No. 3 to No. 6 range in the draft lottery, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Bulls are sort of desperate for a point guard right now since Kris Dunn has failed to show he's a starting-caliber point guard in the NBA. Zion Williamson is widely expected to be the No. 1 overall pick, while Murray State guard Ja Morant is projected to go No. 2 overall.

That’s why there’s a wild card in all of this. The Sun-Times reported last month that if the Bulls slip into the No. 3 to No. 6 range, they could check with the Lakers about the availability of point guard Lonzo Ball in a trade.

The Bulls are hoping they get the No. 1 or 2 pick so they can draft either Williamson or Morant. RJ Barrett, Jarrett Culver, Cam Reddish and DeAndre Hunter are the other players who are expected to be drafted in the lottery.

Chicago has a 12.5 percent chance at getting the No. 1 overall pick. The Bulls feel like they are one more impact player away from making the playoffs next season since Zach LaVine, Otto Porter Jr. and Lauri Markkanen are solid guys in the starting lineup.

Ball averaged 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season for the Lakers. He still has to work on his jump shot, but it looks like the Bulls remain interested in him.
