There's a chance the Chicago Bulls may bring back head coach Jim Boylen next season, and it may not sit well with shooting guard Zach LaVine.

NBC Sports Chicago's K.C. Johnson relayed info about the situation in Chicago on the latest Bulls Talk Podcast:

“There are certainly more and more signs that it's not going to be that surprising if Jim Boylen is brought back or at least given an extended dress rehearsal. Zach LaVine is tired of losing and tired of a lot of things.”

This aligns with what Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy reported over the weekend in terms of LaVine's concerns about remaining with the Bulls if Boylen is still around:

“He wants to win,” a league source tells me by phone this evening. “He’s scared about the coaching situation. But he’s not ready to make an affirmative decision on anything just yet.”

You don't have to follow the Bulls closely to know that LaVine and Boylen don't have the best relationship. The head coach benched his leading scorer in the first quarter of a game against the Miami Heat early in the 2019-20 season, and it forced LaVine and Boylen to have a long discussion about where they stood after the game.

LaVine responded by scoring 49 points the following night against the Charlotte Hornets. However, as the season went along, it didn't appear from the outside looking in that LaVine and Boylen were on the same page yet.

LaVine is sick of losing, and the fact that he has never been to the playoffs adds more to the frustration. The Bulls have to be careful moving forward. Bringing Boylen back could spell the end of LaVine's days in Chicago, as the electric scorer could always request a trade if he's not happy with the situation.
