With the 2017 NBA Draft just a few days away, the trade rumor mill around the league has begun to hit full stride.

The latest chatter surrounds Jimmy Butler‘s future with the Chicago Bulls, as Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical is reporting that he has become the center of trade talk with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

This isn't the first time that the Timberwolves have pursued Butler, as there was a big push around this time last year prior to the 2016 NBA Draft. However, talks began to break down after the Bulls remained fixated on their high asking price of acquiring Andrew Wiggins and a draft pick in return for any deal.

There is an obvious connection for Butler, with his former head coach Tom Thibodeau now holding that position with the Timberwolves along with being their team president of basketball operations. It would be interesting to see what the Bulls would want in exchange for the All-Star forward this time around. It likely would include draft picks and one of their young core players.

There are also rumors that the Cleveland Cavaliers are interested in acquiring the 27-year-old in a potential three-team deal. Butler is set to enter the third year of his five-year, $92.3 million deal that includes a $19.8 million player option for the 2019-20 season.
