As the Chicago Bulls were getting blown out by the Boston Celtics on Saturday, they knew that every basket counts, especially in the third quarter, to give themselves a chance to catch up, or even make the score look decent. That especially held true for Jerian Grant, who did his best to score in the dying seconds of the quarter.

With less than three seconds to go, the 25-year-old Notre Dame product slipped on the floor. However, he still kept his composure and presence of mind, as he attempted a layup while kneeling down, which gave his team the two points they badly needed.

Grant had a solid game off the bench with 10 points, two rebounds and six assists in 23 minutes of action, but his efforts were not enough to help the Bulls win the game. They lost 117-92, which was also their second consecutive defeat, bringing their record down to 10-22 for the season, good for only 14th place in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls may have lost on the night, but Grant has been a bright spot for them, and proved further that he will continue to compete hard for his team, even with their dismal record. They will return to action on Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks, where they will look to surprise them, and come out with a win.
