Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine showed off his scoring repertoire in a recent pickup game, and Bulls fans are starting to get excited about the upcoming season.

LaVine, who has established himself as one of the best young scorers in the league, has been working diligently this summer on his game. The high-flyer and Bulls' leading scorer was getting buckets in this particular pickup game:

For the Bulls to compete for a playoff spot next season, they will need Zach LaVine to build off his 2018-19 season. LaVine poured in 23.7 points per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from beyond the arc last season.

The Bulls, though, won only 22 games and finished in the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. LaVine said earlier this summer he wants to play in meaningful games next season. For that to happen, LaVine has to improve on the defensive end. We already know he can score the ball. Now it's time for LaVine to show he can be a high-level defender.

Chicago hasn’t made the playoffs since 2017. The team's projected starting lineup in 2019-20 features LaVine, Otto Porter Jr., Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr. and either Kris Dunn or Tomas Satoransky at point guard.
