C.J. McCollum hasn't only been keeping his eyes on the free agent wire, but also making strides to avenge a first-round sweep at the hands of the Golden State Warriors — taking it upon himself to take his offseason workouts to the next level.

The Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard was spotted doing an arsenal of right-handed dribble moves, beating the one-minute mark with a mark of 58.98 seconds — pulling off 300 dribbles in that span.

Between knee and ankle pounds, inside-outs and side-to-sides, the repetition of this fast-twitch, muscle-memory-induced workout is meant to increase nerve response in all the sensory ends of the hand, making dribbling a matter of muscle reaction, rather than feel.

Due to his usage rate, McCollum will have the ball in his hands a lot this next season, but this time, he's bound to keep an extra gear in his hands to blow past his defenders and that extra edge in his dribble for his masterful pull-up jump shot — just more tools to add to the arsenal for the former Most Improved Player and top-20 scorer in the league.
