The Arizona Cardinals have started off the week making some roster moves releasing Tramaine Brock and Zach Zenner, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Brock being released is a big surprise as he has performed well this season when he has been on the field. He did miss a couple of weeks before the team's bye week with a hamstring injury, but he did play in the Cardinals' loss against the Los Angeles Rams.

He is subject to waivers and it would be a bit shocking if there wasn't a team that decided to pick him up. If he was to clear waivers he would be a free agent and would be free to join any team.

As surprising as it is to see Brock get released, it's not much of a shock that the team has decided to move on from Zenner. Zenner was signed as an insurance policy when David Johnson's ankle was bothering him, but even when he was banged up, Zenner didn't have a big role.

In the four games he was with the team he ran only three times for negative two yards. He was inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams. Zenner appeared in one game earlier this season with the New Orleans Saints but was released and was a free agent before being picked up by the Cardinals.

He will also have to go through waivers, but it's unclear at this point if there are teams that are interested in his services for the stretch run of the season.
