The Arizona Cardinals are sporting a revamped roster heading into the 2020 NFL season. It seems general manager Steve Keim is confident that they brought in just the type of player they need through the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Cardinals were able to address needs on both sides of the ball with their slew of draft picks. According to Bob McManaman of AZ Central, it was revealed that all six of their players had been named team captains by their respective colleges:

“In the time I’ve been doing this, I really do feel like this board has fell to us this year as good as it’s ever fallen,” Keim said following the draft. “In terms of guys that we really, really liked and valued for what we do and for our organizational needs, I really feel that all these guys – all of them are captains – bring leadership, they bring toughness, they’re productive and again, they’re guys we really felt fit the Cardinal way.”

It is safe to say that their common trait as leaders has given Keim good reason to be optimistic. Arizona is hoping that having so many headstrong rookies joining the roster will help pay huge dividends for a potential comeback season.

Although this year's class may have no shortage of leadership, it could be quite some time before any of them are given a C to put on their chest with the Cardinals. Regardless, it should help them to cultivate a different attitude in the locker room, which could be just what they need to spark a resurgence in the 2020 campaign.

Not all the rookies will be able to etch put an integral role for themselves as soon as next season. Fortunately, it is clear that Keim is looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table from a leadership standpoint.
