The Arizona Cardinals have listed star JJ Watt as out for their Thursday night contest versus the Green Bay Packers due to a shoulder injury.

Watt was ruled out by the team on Wednesday. He has not practiced in any of the three days this week. The 32-year-old DE has 16 tackles, 10 quarterback hits, a sack, and a forced fumble in his first seven games with the Cardinals.

Aside from Watt's absence, Arizona can also be without DeAndre Hopkins, who has been listed as out of practice all week with a hamstring injury. He has been tagged as questionable to face the Packers.

The Cardinals are facing off against a very injured Packers team, and while losing Watt is never an easy thing for a team to overcome, they still have the advantage this week. Green Bay, meanwhile, will be without eight key players.

Aaron Rodgers is going to be without most of his wide receivers and a few guys on the offensive line. Not having to deal with Watt has to have the Packers ecstatic, especially with all the injuries they have.

The Cardinals are looking to start the season 8-0 and losing Watt isn't what they had in mind. The star defensive end should be good to go sometime soon and the team is most likely just being cautious about his shoulder.

This is the first game JJ Watt is missing in a Cardinals jersey. They certainly need him if they want to continue dominating.
