The Arizona Cardinals have had quite the eventful offseason thus far and they've continued making moves on Sunday. According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, quarterback Brett Hundley has re-signed with Arizona.

The Cardinals are set at quarterback for the future with Kyler Murray under center. However, even with Murray showing promise, it's vital for Arizona to have someone reliable as his backup.

Hundley began his career with the Green Bay Packers as a fifth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. In just his second season with the Packers, Hundley was asked to step in for Aaron Rodgers amid an injury to the future Hall of Famer.

Then, after making nine starts with Green Bay in 2017, the Packers traded Hundley to the Seattle Seahawks in 2018. But without even suiting up in a game for the Seahawks, Hundley was released and signed by the Cardinals in 2019.

Hundley, a Phoenix native, seized the chance to play for his hometown team that fits his skill set. Following an injury to Murray, the UCLA product attempted 11 passes, completing five of them for 49 yards.

While he isn't starting material, Hundley gives the Cardinals a formidable backup to Murray. Besides Hundley, the Cardinals have made quite a few moves on offense. Of course, the most notable one was the blockbuster trade that allowed them to acquire DeAndre Hopkins.

Despite attending UCLA in college, Hundley has spent the majority of his life in Phoenix. After signing a new deal with the Cardinals, the former Bruin can continue to reside in the confines of Arizona.
