Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins suffered an injury late during the team's Monday Night Football loss against the Los Angeles Rams. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has offered an update on the star wideout, and it brings about some concern for the team.

Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Hopkins is dealing with a knee injury and is considered day-to-day. Hopkins won't partake in Wednesday's walk-through practice, and his status for the Cardinals Week 15 clash with the Detroit Lions is up in the air.

As Rapoport notes, Hopkins will seek further opinions on the extent of his knee ailment, but these latest updates on the star wide receiver are certainly worrying.

Hopkins has dealt with a hamstring injury throughout the year, but it doesn't appear that this latest ailment is an extension or reaggravation of that injury. Instead, this is a new issue altogether for the 29-year-old. It appears Hopkins picked up the knock late in Monday night's game after trying to haul in a pass in the end zone from Kyler Murray. Hopkins landed hard on the ground and was shaken up after the play.

The former first-round pick has hauled in 42 receptions for 572 yards and eight touchdowns this season, featuring in 10 games for the Cardinals in 2021. His hamstring injury kept him sidelined during the Cardinals' games from Week 9-11, but was able to utilize the bye in Week 13 to recover and return to the field on Monday.

Unfortunately, it looks as if this latest injury may place the three-time All-Pro back on the shelf, though his status for Week 15 still remains unclear.
