The Arizona Cardinals got some brutal news yesterday when it was announced that star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was going to miss the rest of the regular season due to a knee injury. Recent tweets by NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport put a timetable on Hopkins' return following his knee surgery.
Sources: #AZCardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins is having knee surgery on his torn MCL in the coming days and is headed to Injured Reserve. His regular season is over, but if AZ advances deep in the playoffs, Hopkins has a chance to return. He’s looking at likely 6 weeks of recovery.

According to Rapoport, Cardinals star receiver DeAndre Hopkins is looking at a six-week recovery following his knee surgery. Rapoport unfortunately confirms the brutal news that the star wideout is done for the regular season but does add a glimmer of hope.
If the Cardinals are able to make a deep playoff run, DeAndre Hopkins' return could come while the team is in the midst of such a run. While it will be hard for Arizona to secure the number-one seed without Hopkins, their chances of making the playoffs sitting at 10-3 are very high.
If the Cardinals, led by quarterback Kyler Murray, can manage to make it to the divisional round or the Conference Championship game, they could get Hopkins back for the big contest.
While Cardinals fan don't want to hear that they'll be without Hopkins for an extended period of time, there's still a chance that they'll see him on the field down the road this season. DeAndre Hopkins' return could come at an opportune time if the Cardinals can make a run.
