Sports apparel giant Adidas welcomes a new member to its team of athlete endorsers. That’s Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, who inked an exclusive deal with Adidas according to separate reports from Darren Rovell of ESPN and Matt Hayes of Bleacher Report.

Josh Rosen was part of a talented group of rookie signal-callers this year, five of which were taken in the first round. Drafted 10th overall by the Cards after they traded up for him last April, Rosen is expected to be in the thick of a quarterback battle in Arizona, where he’s going to compete for the starting job with veterans Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon.

The Cardinals are looking for a fresh beginning this year. Under a new coach in Steve Wilks, the Cards are also eyeing a new man under center following the retirement of Carson Palmer. Of course, Rosen will have to prove himself in the offseason to win the team’s starting gig, but the consensus is that he’ll eventually take on that role soon even if he’s not going to be the team’s Week 1 starter.

Rosen played three seasons for the UCLA Bruins in college, collecting a career total of 9,340 passing yards and 59 touchdowns against 26 interceptions. He completed 712 of 1,170 pass attempts for a 60.9 completion percentage.

Rosen, who signed a four-year rookie deal worth $17.59 million with the Cards last May, joins the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Von Miller, Jimmy Graham DeAndre Hopkins, and Dak Prescott as among the NFL personalities currently representing Adidas’ brand.
