The Arizona Cardinals offense sputtered once again in their Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. It appears their struggles have finally started to worry head coach Steve Wilks.

The Cardinals offense has looked flat throughout the entire 2018 NFL season. However, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss, Wilks finally acknowledged his concern after the 27-17 loss to the Vikings:

“Am I concerned? Majorly,” he said after the game. “We need to correct it. We need to find ways to get into the end zone and we need to get it corrected soon.”

Wilks comments just confirm what fans have complained about all season. Up to this point, he had been relatively optimistic that Arizona would be able to make some improvement. However, their outing in Week 6 seems to be the last straw for him. Looking at the final numbers, it is easy to see why.

The Cardinals rank dead last in a number of offensive categories. That became evident during their loss versus the Vikings when they mustered up just 269 yards total yards on the day. Arizona also failed to convert every third-down opportunity. Perhaps their biggest concern is their inability to get a rhythm going for running back David Johnson. He registered just 55 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He also managed to tack on two receptions for 15 yards.

Johnson's numbers are indicative of the offense as a whole. This will make it difficult for Wilks to find any solutions to the bevy of issues plaguing their team. The Cardinals will look to find their footing against the Denver Broncos next week.
