Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was superb in his team's opening game win against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. The 2019 top overall pick remained led at the forefront of the offense and efficiently executed plays under center for his team.

Murray also reached 100 rushing yards in the fourth quarter of the Cardinals’ win over the 49ers on Sunday. His performance led him to be the only player in the league to gain 100 yards during the day. The Cardinals' quarterback also had more rushing yardage than any running back across the league yesterday.

However, his feat wouldn't last the entire game as the kneel down cost him some rushing yardage. Kyler Murray knelt twice in crunch time, once for a loss of five yards and once for a loss of four yards. His 11-carry, 100-yard game officially ended up as a 13-carry, 91-yard game on the stat sheet.

The kneel down greatly affected Murray's numbers more than any other quarterback as the Cardinals are the only team in the NFL that uses the shotgun as its kneel down formation. Most quarterbacks would often take the snap from under center on the kneel down and lose one or two yards, but Murray takes the snap from the shotgun and loses four or five yards from his total tally.

Regardless of the numbers, Murray and the rest of the Cardinals are just happy to snag a win against a contender like the 49ers. At the end of the day, the former Heisman Trophy winner will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means getting to have fewer individual statistics to his name.
