Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury is using his “mad genius” during this quarantine to become even more innovative to help improve the team's offense.

Kenyan Drake hasn't even played a full season with the Cardinals, but he knows how bright of offensive mind Kingsbury has:

“Kliff is one of the more mad-genius, offensive-minded guys in this league because of how he can put players in different positions to go out there and be successful and use your raw, natural ability to mirror up with the things the offense works best at,” Drake said via Bob McManaman of AZ Central.

Drake admitted he doesn't know exactly what the former Texas Tech Red Raiders coach has up his sleeve, but he knows it's going to be impressive:

“I have no idea what he could be coming up with, but I know once this season gets going and we get out there running around a little bit more, everybody’s going to get into a good flow and … we’ll score points and win more games this year.”

The COVID-19 pandemic might actually work in the favor of the Cardinals offense, because of the time it has afforded Kingsbury. Patrick Peterson knows how many different ways Kingsbury gets pulled when the practice facilities are open, but since they are closed, he has been able to stay at home and just work on the offense:

It’s true, Kingsbury confirmed. The pandemic has made him even more academic when it comes to designing plays.

There are a lot of expectations surrounding Kingsbury and the Cardinals heading into year two. Hopefully, the extra time working on the offense will result in more wins.
