Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen is 1-1 as an NFL starter, but his coach Steve Wilks says he has room for improvement. The Cardinals benched Sam Bradford after three horrendous weeks. Rosen gave the Cardinals a chance to beat the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5, but they fell short 20-17. In just his second week, he helped his team secure a 28-18 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Given the 49ers injuries, they weren't the most formidable opponent. However, they were a stepping stone that will help push the Cardinals in the right direction.

“Josh is going to be a work in progress because you really can’t get it done in practice,” Wilks told the Associated Press. “You show him the different looks, but those guys are going at a different speed on game day. So he’s going to learn on the run. He’s going to have to have a few bumps here and there, but he’s going to also make some good plays.”

Josh Rosen just 10 of his 25 passing attempts for 170 yards and a score against the 49ers. He completed 15 of 27 passes for 180 yards and one touchdown against the Seahawks two weeks ago. His numbers aren't popping, but his fiery personality has his team pumped. The defense has been vocal about wanting to help Rosen win, and it finally happened.

Steve Wilks hopes Rosen doesn't have to rely on the defense all season long. With each passing week, Wilks wants Rosen to adjust more to the speed of the NFL.
