The Arizona Cardinals are one of the most exciting, young up-and-coming teams in the NFL, and running back Kenyan Drake is ready to put the NFL on notice of that fact.

The Cardinals drafted quarterback Kyler Murray with the first overall selection in 2019. He is seen as the future of that position. Murray is not the only exciting player on the team. Arizona also has a number of exciting weapons, anchored by superstar veterans DeAndre Hopkins and Larry Fitzgerald.

Another one of those weapons is Drake, who joined the team during the 2019 season, quickly becoming a key part of the Cardinals' ground game.

Drake is all in on the hype surrounding his team. According to Nick Shook of NFL.com, the running back sees Arizona as the next team to beat.

“I feel like the hype is warranted, to be honest … When you add arguably the best receiver in the league in DeAndre Hopkins, the most electric quarterback in the league in Kyler Murray, you add me to the fold, you add a couple more pieces to the O-line, on defense, you draft a [Swiss Army] knife in Isaiah Simmons, shore up the D-line and bring in other people to build a great puzzle … [That’s] what we have in Arizona. I feel like we’re going to go out there and really take the league by storm, especially our division.”

Drake had high praise for his offensive teammates. There was no way he was going to talk about the team without mentioning Murray and Hopkins.

However, he also talks about the offensive line and the defense. Drake specifically brings up rookie Isaiah Simmons. Simmons is an exciting player, and one who could energize a defense that ranked a dismal 28th in points allowed and 32nd in yards last season.

It's hard to argue with Drake. This Arizona team is definitely one with high expectations heading into the 2020 NFL season. Let's see if they can live up to it.
