Following a tough loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has revealed a worrying update regarding two key offensive weapons. According to Darren Urban, Kingsbury told reporters that both DeAndre Hopkins and James Conner underwent an MRI after the game.

Kingsbury didn't offer much detail into the nature of Hopkins' injury. The star wideout has dealt with a hamstring injury throughout this season, but it remains unclear if this is a reaggravation of that injury, or a new ailment altogether.

Hopkins left the game after he landed hard when trying to make a catch in the end zone. After the game, Kingsbury admitted he wasn't sure as to the extent of Hopkins' knock, though he didn't expect it to be serious.

As for Conner, the star running back hurt his ankle late in the game against Los Angeles. Kingsbury admitted that the team had relied too heavily upon the running back in the absence of fellow RB Chase Edmonds, who was not activated from IR ahead of Monday's game, but should be good to go in Week 15.

The Cardinals are on a short week of rest having had played on Monday night, so hopefully the knocks to Hopkins and Conner aren't anything serious enough to keep them on the sideline against the Detroit Lions.

This season, Conner has rushed 179 times for 661 yards and 14 touchdowns, having served as the lead back in Glendale while Edmonds has been on the mend. As for Hopkins, the veteran wideout has 42 receptions for 571 yards and eight touchdowns in 2021. Both would represent a huge loss for Arizona's offense if they're forced to miss time.
