Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury is known as a players coach but when he was at Texas Tech he kept a close eye on his player social media accounts. During an August 2016 appearance on the Hawkcast with AJ Hawk, Kingsbury admitted that he would use fake social media accounts with cute girls to f0llow his player's activity on social media.

“We have fake accounts with cute girls that they add right now so we can see what’s going on, who’s tweeting what,” Kingsbury said at the time. “Those are heavily monitored, for sure.”

This seems to be pretty normal with coaches especially in the college ranks who want to keep a cl0se eye on their players. The big difference between Kingsbury and most coaches is that he actually admits that it something he did.

Hawk asked if he thought the players at Texas Tech knew what he was doing, he said he thinks they did but they still couldn't resist a cute girl.

At the end of the year, Kingsbury would put together the most absurd posts they found while monitoring accounts and tried to have a little fun with it.

“Once a year, we’ll capture the most absurd posts our team makes and we make a big presentation and have a lot of fun with it,” he said, laughing.

Kingsbury hasn't talked a ton about social media since joining the Cardinals but his players need to be aware if they get any requests from a cute girl it might be their coach trying to look at their social media accounts.
