Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will no doubt be focused on getting his team back on the winning track after a narrow 34-31 loss to Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins in their game last week.

But when they face Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the 23-year old Murray will not only have a chance to give the Cardinals their sixth win this season, but can also make history along the way.

According to NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt, the first overall pick in last year’s draft will become only the fourth quarterback in NFL history with a rushing touchdown in five straight games or more if he scores a rushing touchdown against the Bills.

A rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown, meanwhile, will make the former Oklahoma Sooner just the first quarterback in league history with a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in five straight games.

Moreover, Murray also has the chance to join New England Patriots signal-caller Cam Newton as the only quarterbacks with 6,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards in just their first 25 NFL games.

The Cardinals’ young quarterback has certainly been playing well in his second season. Through eight games, he has completed 190 of 279 passes for 2130 passing yards for 16 touchdowns against seven interceptions. In addition, Murray also has 76 carries for 543 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, proving himself to be a threat both in the air and on the ground.

The fact that Murray is already breaking records and joining exclusive lists speaks to how good he has been this early into his career.
