Rumors have been flying of late suggesting that the Arizona Cardinals and star quarterback Kyler Murray had a fractured relationship. Reports from Chris Mortensen suggested Murray was displeased with the team's early playoff exit and how he was scapegoated in the aftermath. That report prompted an official statement from the Cardinals, which was followed up on Monday by a statement from Murray himself, in which he clears the air regarding his situation with the team via Twitter.

Murray shared a photo of himself in a Cardinals jersey next to a body of text written on the Notes app, in which he calls the external noise “nonsense.”

The rumors began to emerge after Murray scrubbed his Instagram account clean of any references to the Arizona Cardinals. After the Cardinals then followed suit by scrubbing their own social media account, Mortensen's report of an “odd vibe” between the two sides emerged.

Murray, who was harshly criticized in the aftermath of the Cardinals' Wild Card loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs, is trying to make clear that he's around for the long haul in Arizona. “Love me or hate me but I'm going to continue to grow and get better,” Murray promised in his address to the fans.

With all the conversation surrounding Murray's future in the team, it was only a matter of time until the quarterback took to action to address the situation on his own. Murray is hoping his post is enough to quell the rumors of a potential dispute between him and the franchise that selected him first overall in 2019.
