All eyes will be on Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray when he makes his preseason debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. It seems he plans on taking the same approach he would with any game.

Arizona will be looking to help Murray find his footing in his first taste of NFL action. He is focused on making the right plays, according to Jess Root of the Cards Wire.

“During preseason, I’ll treat it like a regular game, go through reads and if it’s not there, don’t let it go, don’t trigger it,” he said. “But if it’s there, we’re going to deliver the ball.”

Murray has been rather calm about all the hype surrounding his preseason debut. Then again, there is not much at stake for him or the team at this time of year. It appears he is just hoping not to force anything on offense while taking advantage of what the defense gives him.

There is no question about Murray's ability to make plays with his legs, however, he will first need to prove that he can deliver all the throws as well. It is safe to assume that the Cardinals are doing what they can to ensure that he does not find himself in a position where he must take any unnecessary hits.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has not given any indication regarding how long the rookie will play. Regardless, this will be a vital time for Murray to get better acquainted with the offense and, more importantly, his wide receivers.
