The Arizona Cardinals infamously selected former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Although the Cardinals as a whole haven't been all that impressive this season, Murray has continued to show flashes of brilliance under the guidance of first year NFL head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

However, Murray finally showed that he is in fact human after all on Sunday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

As a result of an interception thrown by Murray during the fourth quarter of Sunday afternoon's loss to the Buccaneers, Murray's streak of consecutive passing attempts made by a rookie without an interception came to an end. While Murray previously set the NFL record with this 177th throw of this nature in the first quarter of the Week 10 NFC clash, his streak came to an end after 211 passing attempts without a pick.

“When I threw it, there was no way in hell I thought he was gonna pick the ball off so it is unfortunate,” Murray said after the game, via ESPN.

The previous record of 176 passing attempts was held by Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who set their repsective marks in 2014 and 2016.

“He's done it throughout the course of the year,” Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald said of Murray, via ESPN. “This is what, nine or 10 games in as a rookie? He's done an unbelievable job of putting us in position to win week in and week out. There's gonna be times where there's gonna be mistakes happen. I mean, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, I mean, all the great ones, it happens. But we learn from it and move forward.”

Murray and the Cardinals are now just 3-6-1 on the year.
