The Arizona Cardinals haven't had a good season and haven't had a ton to play for but Larry Fitzgerald picked up an impressive accomplishment on Sunday moving into second place all-time for recieving yards, passing Terrell Owens. During the 4th quarter, Fitzgerald hauled in a 15-yard catch that moved him to 15,952 yards, 18 yards ahead of Owens. The only person that is ahead of Fitzgerald now is Jerry Rice.
Fitzgerald and Owens have a really close relationship and that makes this accomplishment even more important to him.
“I’m really close with T.O.,” Fitzgerald said via the Arizona Cardinals team website. “His friendship and my relationship with him is invaluable to me. It means a great deal to me. To be able to be mentioned in the same breath with him, it means a lot to me.”
Ownes tweeted out his praises for Fitzgerald after he moved past him for second on the list, saying it is nice to know that he is in good company.
Congrats to my homie @LarryFitzgerald on becoming 2nd All-Time in receiving. Nice to know that I’m in good company! #respect

Fitzgerald was held without a catch in the first half of the game but in the second half coach Steve Wilks said the team made an effort to get the ball.
Quarterback Josh Rosen has had nothing but praise for Fitzgerald this year and after the game was just happy he got a chance to be a part of such a special milestone.
“It’s really cool to play with a legend like that,” Rosen said. “I’m really happy for him.”
Rice who is first on the list sits with 22,985 receiving yards so catching him is going to require Fitzgerald to play at least a few more years, something that seems unlikely.
