NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald may no longer be with the Arizona Cardinals, but he remains supportive of the team. In fact, he made sure to show just that to wide receiver Christian Kirk as the team prepares for the playoffs.

Kirk, who has been with the Cardinals since 2018 and played with Fitz for three seasons, revealed that the 38-year-old wideout sent him a text message recently to remind him that the playoffs is a new season. Per Paul Cavisi of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, Fitzgerald also encouraged the young wide receiver by pointing out to him that “it's where you can create a legacy.”

While Larry Fitzgerald wasn't able to win the Super Bowl despite reaching it with the Cardinals during the 2008 season, he did have multiple playoff appearances with the team. And if there is one thing he has done during those stints, it is proving he is one of the best wide receivers in the history of the franchise and the NFL.

Christian Kirk, for his part, can certainly learn a thing or two from Fitzgerald. The Cardinals play the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round on Monday, and sure enough, the 25-year-old's performance will be critical. Simply put, he must step up and provide Kyler Murray another reliable offensive option to send the LA defense into chaos.

Hopefully, Kirk also got some advice from Fitzgerald on handling the pressure in the playoffs and stepping up when it matters most.
