Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has a lot to be happy about, with former New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady agreeing to sign and play for the NFC South franchise, and the wideout decided to share the love on Saturday by complimenting Arizona Cardinals rising sophomore signal-caller Kyler Murray.

Evans, 26, called the young Cardinals gunslinger the greatest high-school quarterback of all time on Twitter.

“Texas High School football is the best and QB the hardest position,” Evans, coming off his sixth NFL season (all with Tampa Bay) wrote on social media on Saturday evening. “[So] I guess Kyler Murray the best HS player ever.”

The three-time Pro Bowl receiver added his comment while sharing a graphic boasting Murray's incredible amateur record while competing in Allen, Texas. Murray, 22, the first overall pick by the Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft and former Heisman Trophy winner with Oklahoma, won three state championships in Texas, going undefeated at 43-0, accumulating 186 touchdowns in his high school tenure, and winning the 2014 Player of the Year.

Evans, another first-round product out of the Lone Star State, attended Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, where he was a multi-sport athlete.

Murray and the Cardinals offensive received a boost this offseason when Arizona successfully traded for Houston Texans star wide receiver Deandre Hopkins, who was dealt for veteran running back David Johnson and two draft picks. Hopkins should be a dynamic threat out wide and downfield for Murray, who was the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2019, too.
