If you're a fan of the Arizona Cardinals, look away. The ensuing sentences might cause emotional stress or result in catatonic shock.

The Cardinals got destroyed by the Los Angeles Rams, 34-11 on Monday night in their Wild Card affair to end the season on a catastrophic note. Kyler Murray and company, who entered the game looking to address their recent woes, walked off with one of the worst showings in recent memory of the NFL Playoffs.

Right from the onset, their offense was nowhere to be found. The Rams defense stopped, shackled, shut down the Cardinals in the first half, 21-0. According to a statistic reported by ESPN's Josh Weinfuss, that practically doomed the Cardinals.

That sealed Arizona's fate: Teams were 82-0 this season when leading by 21 points or more.

The Cardinals, who had an 8-1 record on the road prior to the game, put up a stronger effort in the second half. But by that time, it was too late. The Rams, led by Matthew Stafford, Odell Beckham Jr., and Cooper Kupp, did not let up and protected their lead.

It was an unfortunate end for the Cardinals' first postseason appearance since 2015. They started the campaign rattling off seven straight wins. But things went downhill from there.

Things, however, can only get better for the Cardinals. It was only Murray's first stint in the NFL Playoffs and the loss will surely toughen him up. As they say, no good thing comes easy. Unless you're up, 21-0.
