The Arizona Cardinals just drafted Josh Rosen as their quarterback of the future a year ago, but Peter King of NBC Sports feels that the Cardinals could go in another direction this spring.

King states that Arizona should give serious consideration to selecting University of Oklahoma signal-caller Kyler Murray in the NFL Draft in two months and then flip Rosen elsewhere for another first-round draft choice.

Rosen, whom the Cardinals took with the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, had a rather underwhelming rookie campaign this past season, starting 13 games and throwing for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions while completing just 55.2 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 66.7.

It's not like Rosen lit it up while he was at UCLA, either.

During his third and final season with the Bruins, Rosen finished with 3,756 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 10 picks while completing 62.6 percent of his passes and recording a passer rating of 147.

While those numbers certainly aren't bad, they are not what you would expect from a top quarterback prospect.

By contrast, Murray is coming off of a junior campaign in which he threw for 4,361 yards, 42 touchdowns, and seven picks, posting a completion percentage of 69 percent and a passer rating of 199.2.

In addition, Murray gashed opposing defenses for 1,001 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Of course, some wonder if Murray's unorthodox style will translate well into the pros, and his small stature has given some scouts pause, but there is no doubt that Murray is one of the most dynamic athletes in the draft.
