The Arizona Cardinals managed to solidify the quarterback situation this offseason with the additions of Sam Bradford and Josh Rosen. Now the question remains as to who will start going into the 2018 NFL season.

It appears wide receiver Chrisitan Kirk may already have an idea of who it is going to be. Kirk said during an appearance on NFL Network that Bradford currently has the edge over Rosen:

“To be honest, just with what the coaches have said and just the way it’s looking, I’m pretty sure Sam is going to start,” Kirk said. “But you never know. Training camp provides a lot of opportunities for Josh to go out there and show what he can do as well. I think either way, if Josh were to start Week 1, I think they both put us good position to go out there and win some football games.”

It may come as a bit of a surprise to see Kirk not pick his fellow rookie. However, it seems he has noticed all the details that have added to Bradford being the starter come Week 1.

That said, it is encouraging to see that things are seemingly going to plan for the Cardinals. They signed Bradford to help bring some much-needed stability under center. Meanwhile, they managed to take Rosen with the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to develop behind the veteran as their potential future franchise quarterback. Even if Bradford is the starter, the rookie should always be prepared to go given the former's track record with injuries.
