The Arizona Cardinals are on the verge of landing perhaps their biggest free agent acquisition with Terrell Suggs expected to sign with the team, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

After 16 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, it appears Suggs was ready to move on. The veteran pass rusher has been incredibly successful during his NFL career as a seven-time Pro Bowler, one-time All-Pro, and a Super Bowl champion. He also earned Defensive Rookie of the Year honors back in 2003 and NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.

At 36, Suggs will play for only his second time in the league if both sides come to terms on a deal but will be returning to where he went to high school and played college with Arizona State.

In 16 games last season, Suggs recorded 7.0 sacks, a fumble recovery, a forced fumble, and a touchdown.

With the Cardinals struggling on both sides of the football last season, the team has made some drastic changes following a disappointing end to the 2018 campaign. Arizona began these changes by parting ways with head coach Steve Wilks and ultimately hiring Kliff Kingsbury as his successor.

Along with Kingsbury taking over at head coach, the Cardinals own the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The team seems to be leaning toward taking Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray and moving on from Josh Rosen whom they're rumored to be trying to trade.

Needless to say, Arizona is trying to right the ship, and Suggs can only help both on the field and as a leader in the locker room.
